Virginia Christi

Director of Religious Education
Greetings, My name is Virginia Christi and I have just been given the privilege of taking on the role of Director of Religious Education (DRE) for our parish. I am grateful for the work Father Pierz, the Religious Education Board, and hiring committee have put into achieving the goal of hiring a new DRE.
I am a life-long Catholic who is passionate about this amazing Catholic Faith! My husband, Che, and I have been part of this beautiful parish for 23 years. We have 6 children (ages 7-23), 3 of which I homeschool. My 3 older boys attended Holy Trinity School in Greenfield and Saint Michael School in Brattleboro. We live a few minutes up Rt. 2 in Colrain. In the past, I have been part of our Religious Education program as a teacher and sub, ran a monthly Children’s Adoration hour, ran the parish’s annual Epiphany Party, and have volunteered in various areas of youth activities.
I am excited to be working with Father Pierz, our Religious Education Board, and the Director of Educational Outreach to fulfill our vision of love, joy, and evangelization, in unity with the Diocese of Springfield. Their support will help to strengthen this program, not only for this parish but our community.
I look forward to building new relationships with you, the parents of these children. I am here for you in any way to assist in your God-given role as primary teachers of your children’s faith. Thank you for putting your trust in us to help raise your children in our beautiful Catholic Faith. And last, but certainly not least, I would like to extend my gratitude for the commitment of all our Catechists and Subs. Your choice to volunteer every Sunday for these children is such a blessing. You truly are a gift to our Parish!
